In teaching us to reframe these obstacles and to ask more open-ended questions, he demonstrates how actually, hurdles can be cleared, self-esteem raised and, yes, singing the alphabet can turn from an ordeal to a genuine source of pleasure." - Spike Gillespie

Curriculum Goals

There are unlimited potential points to cover. Each of us have unique requirements. I cannot wait to begin working with you. If you commit to investing some time and money on your expressive freedom, you will be amazed at the results. Here are some of the curriculum points we can explore together:

Unlocking a Restrictive Point Of View

In self development work, we uncover limiting points of view (beliefs) that hold us back. In general, we agree that many thoughts and beliefs can be illogical and silly. These beliefs inhibit us and restrict our freedom of expression. Often they look like an inner dialogue or a feeling; that's stupid, who do you think you are, I'd look like a fool if I did that, etc. Over time, we have created a series of beliefs, creating significance around every event and draped a belief over each occurrence to give them meaning.

Left unchallenged, these beliefs can run us, making us avoid opportunities we desperately desire to explore and embrace. Such as new adventures that may generate greater income, better relations, etc. Many of these beliefs activate defense mechanisms stimulating physical reactions such as flight, getting us to run away from perceived threats. This can be devastating, especially when in truth, there is no physical threat present. Example: a parent told you 2000 times that you were wrong. A logical conclusion: mom was right, I'm not good enough. But when we examine the belief we discover that it's a lie. I'm actually quite smart and mom had lousy parenting skills. Many people believe that a belief like this is dysfunctional. It is not. It is merely illogical.

Discovering illogical beliefs becomes fun after a while. It's the first step to removing the stimulation created by the belief. By questioning beliefs, also referred to as limiting points of view. We can then ask if true, and discover it is not, and through repetition the defense mechanism stimulus such as who do you think you are? or I look like a fool inner dialogue disappears. At that point you are free. It seems like a miracle, but the results are permanent and achieved quickly.
